First Aid Courses


First Aid can be taken as a stand alone course or in combination with Adult, and/or Child and Infant CPR. First Aid Certificaion is valid for 3 years.

First Aid
This course helps students recognize and deal with emergencies/injuries and sudden illness. Students practice several first aid techniques with a training first aid kit which the student can take home with them after class. Upon completion students will receive a three year certification for First Aid Basics.
Fee: $30.00

Adult CPR and First Aid
Learn to care for victims over the age of eight: rescue breathing, CPR, choking, bleeding control, splinting, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, and caring for sudden illness. Upon completion students receive certification in Adult CPR (valid for one year) and First Aid (valid for three years).
Fee: $50.00

Community First Aid and Safety
Learn to care for victims of all ages: rescue breathing, CPR, choking, bleeding control, splinting, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, caring for sudden illness, reducing the risk of injury to infants and children. Upon completion students will receive a one year certification in Adult, Child and Infant CPR and a three year certification in First Aid.
Fee: $65.00

Child Care Providers Course
Learn to care for victims up to 8 years old: Rescue Breathing-CPR-Choking, Reducing the Risk of Injury ot Infants and Children, One hour of SIDS training, infection control.
Fee: $60.00

Responding to Emergencies
Individuals gain the knowledge and skills to help sustain life and minimize consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives. This program is designed primarily for use in secondary schools, colleges, universities and other settings that require a curriculum of greater length than the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Program.

Pet First Aid
Just like with people, accidents and emergencies can happen to animals.  The Red Cross prepares people to recognize and care for common ailments and emergencies. A valuable resource for pet owners, grooming personnel, animal handlers, and police units, we also offer an instructor course for those seeking to become pet first aid instructors.
