Volunteers : Disaster Services

Supervisor : Program Manager

General Description

  • Represents the American Red Cross appropriately.
  • Is commited to the American Red Cross, it's purpose and it's beliefs.
  • Upholds the policies and standards of the American Red Cross.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison between individuals, agencies and organizations, and the American Red Cross offices and services. Fosters and maintains healthy internal relations, accepts individuals of different races, ages, gender, and physical/mental abilities.

Specific Description

Disaster Action Team Member Respond to incidents of disaster in community either as on-call responder or community responder. Community responders do not go on-call, but are the first called if there is an incident in their county.  Requires Red Cross training, which is free of charge.

Disaster Services Human Resources Team Respond to large scale disasters in state, region, and nation. Must have Red Cross Disaster experience and advanced training.
