American Red Cross
Central Minnesota Chapter

International Services

The American Red Cross works with a global network of Red Cross, Red Crescent and equivalent societies to restore hope and dignity to the world's vulnerable people. Guided by our seven Fundamental Principles— Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality —this International Red Cross movement brings emergency relief to disaster victims, improves basic living conditions of those in chronically deprived areas, and empowers people with the skills they need to help themselves. The members of the International Red Cross movement including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (Federation), and national societies like the American Red Cross, work together toward common goals during times of crisis or disaster.

International Tracing Services
This service attempts to locate family member in another country who are unable to communicate, or who have lost touch with family members in the United States, due to a disaster-related situations, wars, or civil disturbances.

The information we will need to start a tracing case are at the very minimum, the first and last name of the sought individual, their approximate date of birth, their country of birth, and the place where the sought person was last known to reside.

The Central MN Chapter has delivered several messages to families in our area from loved ones overseas that have been separated.
